your tasks

  • calculating remuneration,
  • working time accounting
  • acting as the lead on preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll, payroll taxes, social security and mandatory employee benefit payments
  • processing payroll each pay period in a timely manner by following standard procedures.
  • participating in the ongoing activities associated with processing payroll
  • actively participate in developing, modifying and implementing procedures and processes as well as acting in a subject matter expert capacity regarding payroll taxes, time and attendance
  • acting as the primary point of contact for external vendors, reviews and ensures adherence
  • managing improvement initiatives as well as ensuring global standards are implemented across the function
  • providing recurring and ad hoc reporting analysis, making recommendations for cost reduction as necessary

what we expect

  • 3 years of experience in payroll
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • advanced knowledge of English
  • good knowledge of one of these languages: French / German / Italian
  • experience in managing vendors
  • customer service experience desirable (also internal customers)
  • nice to have knowledge of Kronos
  • strong analytical skills
  • strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • knowledge of payroll processes/systems and ability to create SOX compliant payroll procedures.
  • thorough knowledge of Payroll related legislation (tax, social security, labor law) in one or more countries.
  • ability to prioritize work to ensure customers are satisfied and systems are up and running at all times.
  • ability to analyze business and technical processes, identify where efficiencies can be gained and implement solutions
