job description

For our client in Warsaw, who is developing internal structures, we are looking for Senior Treasury Accountants.

your tasks

Coordination:

  • provide hands-on support for the Team Lead
  • take customer perspective and end to end responsibility for the operational deliveries 
  • best in class example for execution & service excellence
  • serve as a role model for operational execution 
  • provide support and knowledge sharing to more junior members of the organization
  • stimulate flow and exchange of information between team members
  • be able to take over different tasks due to wide knowledge and competencies
  • search for new solutions in complicated cases/support in delivering solutions in critical situations


Payments:

  • ensure that vendor and employee payments are executed according to payment terms and payment schedule
  • review payment proposal for completeness and accuracy – performing quality check
  • handle any company specific payment exceptions
  • resolve any issues with automatic payment runs and manual payments in cooperation with another departments 
  • approval of manual payments inserted into the bank according to the time frame
  • administration of company credit cards
  • handle global maintenance in the T&E system of all employees 
  • manage in the transactions related to travel and company cards
  • support related department in handling deviations to standard process flows
  • handle and resolve questions and issues raised by employees and business units 


Internal bank:

  • administrate accesses to bank/payment systems
  • monitor changes in global banks and highlight changes to relevant stakeholders
  • assist related deprtment in resolving of technical issues in bank incl. statement issues both in the bank and in SAP
  • extract daily bank statements (only in countries where related department does not have access) and send to them 
  • support to related deprtment in resolving bank clearing issues, e.g. incoming payments from vendors, salary refunds etc. 
  • review and approve short term liquidity
  • initiate buying and selling currency including loaning / borrowing to / from Intercompany in bank application; prepare manual payment request and send for processing
  • gather data for short term liquidity forecast for cash pool accounts
  • maintain master data 
  • perform yearly activities
  • identify need for manual Internal Payment Order (IPO) and prepare template
  • provide solutions to escalated issues and validate End-of-Day reconciliation


Others:

  • support related department in handling deviations to standard process flows
  • supporting company employees from specific locations within accounting/ payment issues – act as a Subject Matter Expert
  • handle and resolve questions and issues raised by our business units, related to RTR
  • participate in multinational projects and initiatives according to the current needs

what we expect

  • good understanding of financial accounting and Treasury duties
  • at least 3-4 years in similar positions in SSC/ BPO within multinational environment
  • knowledge transfer experience
  • ability and willingness to share your knowledge with other colleagues in the team
  • hands on experience in driving continuous improvement and relevant accounting qualifications come as an additional asset for consideration
  • good knowledge of SAP transactions & Office 365 tools (Excel especially)
  • fluent communication in English (min. B2) other language will be an asset
  • self-driven, proactive and flexible
  • great communication skills and a constructive mindset towards challenges
  • a team player, with can do attitude
