- preparation and posting of journal entries for IFRS-specific accounting areas (e.g. intercompany, treasury, fixed assets, pension accounting, inventory)
- reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- analysis of financial statement figures and variances
- responding in an effective and timely manner to all Business Partners’ inquiries concerning your area of responsibilities
- driving standardization and improvements of accounting processes; using Business excellence as the tool to reach future goals
- participation in internal and external audits
- University graduate with at least 2-3 years of work experience in accounting/finance area
- very good English and German skills (at least B1 level)
- broad knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (especially IFRS)
- computer literacy and experience with MS Office applications (with particular focus on Excel), practical knowledge of SAP would be an asset
- results and action-oriented individual with good interpersonal and communication skills
- pragmatic & logical thinker with an eye for detail and an analytical mind
- flexible, especially in the period of month/year-end closing
- strong organizational and time management skills
