For our client from the banking sector, we are looking for a candidate for a role Corporate Action Processing.This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on a global strategic technology platform for one of the world’s largest financial institutions. The role is part of the team that is implementing a Global Corporate Action Event Repository (EMC), supporting key areas of the business.

The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data.

your tasks

  • Represent Corporate Actions teams on several senior forums and clearly communicate status,
  • risks and dependencies.
  • Create and manage project plans across complex cross functional teams.
  • Collect and document requirements, consumer system flows and current state dependencies and clearly communicate to Business Analyst, Technology, Operations and Data Engineering teams.
  • Work with cross functional technology and operations teams to plan out delivery.
  • Coordinate with Operations to engineer repeatable operational processes which can be used to
  • ensure data quality.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts on engagements with downstream consumers.
  • Work closely with IT and Operations partners to identify areas which require monitoring and create business as usual (BAU) processes to satisfy the requirement.
  • Develop relationships with the operations and technology stakeholders, and form a trusted first point of contact relationship.
  • Ensure project deliverables are documented according to required procedures and standards.

what we expect

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum experience of 5 years’ experience with Business analysis/Technical System integrations, providing assistance to a wide group of users and maintaining distributed applications.
  • Collaborative approach, must be able to work closely with senior colleagues and promote consensus decisions that are right for the organization
  • Strong MS Office based skills particularly Excel
  • Understanding of the project life cycle, both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Able to read and translate business requirements
  • Strong understanding of Reference Data, particular around security identification

preferred skills:

  • Experience of working with Third Party Data & Software providers
  • Experience with Information Mosiac (Markit)
  • Exposure to Corporate Action operations and understanding how event data is used to drive the process
  • Understanding of Complex / non-complex Corporate Action events
  • Understanding the process of event capture including linking strategies, data scrubbing, narrative handling
