We are looking for candidates for Data Centre Engineer role for our client - an international law company.

your tasks

  • Server maintenance including OS builds and patching.
  • Provide 24x7 3rd line support in response to incidents or problems escalated or assigned to the UKMEA Data Centre team via the IT Service Desk incident management system.
  • Supporting all Windows services including Active Directory, ADFS, DHCP, DNS, DFS-R, Group Policy and Power Shell.
  • Assist Networking team with LAN/WAN operational problems and provide effective solutions.
  • Work closely with Networking team to ensure LAN/WAN changes have no negative impact on server infrastructure
  • Storage management, including:
  • Data security and recovery
  • Media security and maintenance
  • Data Archiving
  • Internal and external system security
  • Administer and maintain the Dentons storage environment encompassing of HPE 3PAR StoreServ, HPE StoreVirtual, HPE Simplivity, HPE MSA and Dell EqualLogic with HPE Synergy F8 switch modules.
  • Ensure systems uptime and proactively update all firmware within our HPE Synergy and Dell Edge server range including interconnect modules as well as any standalone systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining all security updates to our infrastructure through controlled and documented procedures for all UK&ME offices
  • Guaranteeing Operating Systems are built and adhered to Dentons standard policy, whilst consistently adhering to rigid security processes.
  • Good understanding of XenDesktopXenApp 7.x with PVS deployment in a multi-site production environment.
  • Proactivity provide Capacity Management Reports to meet the firms strategic growing demands
  • Provide our clients exceptional customer service by ensuring infrastructure service SLA's are met.
  • Fully understand and apply of ITIL & ISO processes and procedures within the department.
  • Participate in the department's rota to provide out of hours IT support for break fix.
  • Adhere to local and regional IT operational standards
  • Comply with the firm's policies and any other legal obligations; effectively manage risks to the firm where those risks relate to this role.
  • Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position
