Together with our Client, a medical company, we are looking for direct materials sourcing specialist with experience in purchasing and purchasing systems, who will join the new GBS in Warsaw.

your tasks

As a sourcing specialust, you will provide support to the sourcing team managing the order book and delivery of products. Developing good relationships with the supply chain and managing “On Time in Full” deliveries with suppliers will be essential in your area. Becoming a trusted partner to all of our internal customers is a crucial part of the roll and requires the ability to build and manage very effectively interdepartmental relationships. You will provide general departmental administrative support to the team, in processing of purchase order numbers along with updating of spreadsheets and supporting documentation (SAP data integrity). Communication is key to the role as is the employee’s ability to continually build relationships at all levels across the business.


  • Reviewing purchase requisitions (nonstock orders) and conferring with departments regarding requirements, specifications, quantity, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Recommending alternate suppliers where a savings in cost or improvement in delivery can be achieved
  • Set up suppliers and materials in SAP
  • Purchasing requirements (MRP/SAP) for assigned materials from approved and qualified suppliers in sufficient lead time to prevent material shortages.
  • Resolve problems that arise in relation to delivery dates, quality, specifications, quantity or cost of purchased goods or services.
  • Reviewing invoices queries and participate in meetings with suppliers as required.
  • Ensuring that all activities are in compliance with company policies and practices.

what we expect

  • Business Administration or relevant experience
  • >3 years of purchasing experience
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP planning and purchasing systems (SAP an advantage)
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word); effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
  • Proficient in MS-Office, specifically Excel with Pivot, V-Look Up, Macros
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication and presentation skills (fluent in English & German on a verbal and written level).
  • Being a team player on all levels and fully supporting the company's goals.
  • Identifies alternative courses of action before choosing an approach; making timely decisions in the best interest of the company and is willing to make decisions in uncertain conditions.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate quotations submitted by potential suppliers to assure that the quality, quantity, delivery terms, and costs are acceptable. 
  • Learns from experience, self-motivated, and seeks feedback on performance.
  • Can work from home with effective WIFI access and quiet work environment.
  • Independently drives projects
