job description

For our international Client, leading global aerospace and defence supply chain provider, which is building first own SSC, we are looking for FAIR DVI engineer with French.

your tasks

  • clearance of FAIRs, DVIs and PPAPs in line with Industry and Customer requirements
  • provide local point of contact for all technical issues relating to FAIRs/DVIs
  • educate and coach supplier in the correct approach and requirements for FAIRs/DVIs and to resolve issues which affect the quality or delivery of FAIRs/DVIs
  • conduct and verify product validation processes to ensure suppliers manufacturing system is capable of reliably achieving the engineering standards
  • manage the technical interface specific to FAIR/DVI/PPAP between Suppliers, company and the end Customers to minimise risk of delivery disruption due to technical issues
  • participation in improvement activities at department/company level to enhance business performance
  • comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual
  • undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job

what we expect

  • degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • good English and French (min. B1/B2)
  • significant experience of working within a manufacturing environment 
  • some experience of using advanced quality tools (e.g. PFMEA or PPAP)
  • some experience of working within a technical role within an aerospace environment (an asset)
  • ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • good communication skills 
  • good presentation skills
  • understanding of correct measurement techniques and knowledge of MSA / geometrical tolerancing
  • special DVI process understanding, such as thermal charts and thread formations
