From day one, you will be actively leading the setup, continuous development, and management of a new Master Data Governance framework with a dedicated team in the Competence Center (CC) in Poznan.

your tasks

  • being responsible for the Master Data Governance framework you will establish master data governance roles, decision rights, and processes across the company
  • provide policy and direction to ensure data integrity, maximize the use of data, and minimize the cost associated with data management
  • guideline the master data architecture that supports the business rules and processes, establishing a “Single Point of Truth” for all master data objects
  • establish and lead a Master Data Stewardship which will centralize vital master data maintenance. You and your team will strongly collaborate with Data & Process Owners, System Data Architects as well as local stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
  • set clear targets, define data quality KPIs, and oversee master data initiatives across data domains
  • carry out risk analysis, initiate clean-up activities and guide complex data harmonization projects
  • create and develop a data catalog that will be embedded into our process management tool
  • collaborate with our communication department, design data culture campaigns, promote master data initiatives, and make sure that everyone is part of the journey towards a healthy and sustainable data environment
  • you and your team will be a major stakeholder for data related topics within IT landscape transition projects and new business areas
  • build a global network, foster trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, and act as a sparring partner for decision-makers
  • be the single point of contact for Data Governance and act as a change agent within the company, and help to identify areas for improvement
  • direct report to the Process Center of Excellence Lead (CFO Organization)
  • monthly Process and Master Data Governance Steering with CFO and CIO
  • a direct lead of a team consisting of 3-5 Global Master Data Stewards
  • regular communication with global, regional, and local stakeholders

what we expect

  • bachelor’s degree preferred but not limited to in Business Administration, Data Science, Information technology or experiences related to Master Data Governance
  • 3+ years of work experience related to Master Data Management/Governance
  • experience in leading and developing a team
  • demonstrated project management capabilities in highly-matrixed, complex work environments
  • strong leadership skills, business acumen, and organizational aptness
  • strong understanding of Master Data Structures in SAP ERP and related processes and systems
  • the ability to communicate complex topics in a digestible and convincing manner
  • passion for data and business processes
  • ambition, resilience, curiosity, and desire to learn
  • very good communication skills in English (B2/C1)
  • multicultural sensitivity and work in an international environment and with global stakeholders
  • good understanding of data privacy and data security regulations
