your tasks

  • Directs, plans and functionally manages a team of shared service professionals to deliver centralized purchasing services in accordance with the organization’s strategic direction and functional guidelines by corporate procurement
  • Staffs, manages and develops SSC procurement staff
  • Executes operative tasks in addition to management tasks during the ramp-up phase (primus inter pares). Increase of management tasks and duties with growing expansion level
  • Ensures adherence to compliance requirements of purchasing processes
  • Measures and monitors the purchasing service center team performance, KPIs and group commitments to goals and objectives. Measures results to improve transactional efficiencies in close alignment with the respective internal and external clients
  • Understand and meet the defined SLA including the respective KPIs
  • Engages in problem/conflict resolution, coaching and counselling and suggests appropriate trainings (approved by corporate)
  • Participates on and / or leads purchasing projects supporting the functional / company strategy
  • Drives implementation of purchasing shared services tools and processes approved by corporate
  • Ensures seamless transition of processes from all regional sites to SSC and adaption of SSC processes
  • Aligns, streamlines and improves purchasing processes within the defined scope of service. Actively seeks for E2E process optimization in accordance with corporate process owners
  • Ensures adherence to defined SSC procurement procedures

  • Minimum 7+ years experience working in an purchasing related context
  • Excellent management skills and ability to organize and plan effectively to meet short and long range goals and objectives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to convey business requirements and technical needs in a clear, concise and effective manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate others in accomplishing goals
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on people, quality of service and costs
  • Deals with interpersonal conflicts, stressful work conditions and rejection in a problem-solving and solutions-oriented way
  • Profound experience in SAP and MS Office
  • Excellent German and English skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Economics, Procurement or similar
