For our client from finance sector we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst.

This role will participate in the due diligence phase of a vendor system collaborating with stakeholders across Operations, Technology and relevant peer groups. The Vendor system covers many functions including Portfolio Management, Transaction Processing, Client and Regulatory Reporting – across several Financial Products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in participating effectively in vendor platform due diligence - understanding system capabilities, data flows and interfaces supported and how to integrate functionality with home grown systems. The candidate has to stay well organized and good at capturing key & relevant discussions and decisions made.

your tasks

  • Discovery: Engage stakeholders & identify scope / inventory of Regulatory Reports impacted
  • Discovery: Engage stakeholders & identify system and data flows supporting Regulatory Reporting
  • Document, Verify and Publish inventory, system and data flows
  • Evaluate Vendor’s functional capabilities from a reporting perspective (Generation, Publication, Support)
  • Incrementally build regulatory reporting requirements with recommended options
  • Validate system integration options in ensuring no reporting breaks with proposed implementation
  • Develop, maintain and communicate key discussions, decisions, milestones and RAID log
  • Act as a “translator” between the Vendor, Operations & Technology Teams

Eventually the candidate is expected to cover the below:

  • Develop & maintain SDLC documents like Project Charter, Project Plan, BRD, FRD, Project Plan, Test Plan, Test Results, UAT Approvals, and Lessons Learned
  • Develop & maintain relevant documents in Agile like Scope Document, Iteration Feature List, Technology Regression Test Results
  • Explain requirements to various Applications Owners and engage in cross functional reviews
  • Leverage data modelling practices to analyse findings and propose improvement options
  • Working with stakeholders at all levels as defined by the individual project
  • Assisting with integration and acceptance testing
  • Providing support during and post implementation
  • Communicate with colleagues to understand the needs of departments
  • Key Stakeholder management with various internal customers, partners, and internal and external suppliers
  • Working with users, business analysts, and developers to understand user and system requirements 
  • Assisting the QA team in generating scenarios for effective and thorough testing 
  • Delivering material/presentations to Senior Management, internal and external clients
  • Ensure System designs and solutions are as per company policies, and procedures and guidelines

what we expect

  • 5+ years of Total experience as Business Analyst
  • Financial Service experience is a must
  • Experience in banking products such as Loans, Deposits, Mortgages, Fund Transfers, Client Reporting, Tax, Capital Markets, Trust will be an added value
  • Exposure to various SDLC methodologies
  • Tools – MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint
  • Mandatory Investment Products knowledge Required (most of the following): ETF; Mutual funds, FX; FX forwards, Stocks; Bonds 


nice to have 

  • Portfolio management, SEI, Pershing & Charles River platforms
  • Relevant Business Analyst certifications is a plus
  • Familiarity with Project Management is a plus
