Our paints activities are focused on the Buildings and Infrastructure end-user segment, while our coatings protect, color and enhance everything from ships, cars, aircraft and architectural components to consumer goods (mobile devices, appliances, beverage cans, furniture), wind turbines and oil and gas facilities.

Currently we are helping AkzoNobel in creating their fifth GBS (Global Business Service Centre) in Warsaw. This is why we are looking for Candidates with experience in sourcing on a Specialist position / Buyer:

your tasks

  • support the category managers with analytics, performance management, sourcing expertise and medium value spot buys,
  • perform external market research and supplier pre-qualification activities, supplier selection in partnership with appropriate Business Unit and other procurement constituents,
  • provides analytics support through Spend/Process analysis,
  • responsible for all entities/countries in Paints and Coatings within the region,
  • use market knowledge and data analysis to identify savings opportunities and contribute to a future pipeline of opportunities that meet category specific targets,
  • ensure compliance with sourcing policies and best practices,
  • looking for opportunities for continuous improvement process,
  • execute medium-value (10-100k) spot buys with category manager guidance.

what we expect

  • minimum 5 years of experience in Sourcing area,
  • fluency in English both written and spoken; any other language is a plus
  • strong background in data analysis,
  • excellent project management knowledge,
  • ability to deliver significant sustainable business results independently,
  • strong knowledge of procurement practices  and sourcing/supply chain trends and dynamics,
  • excellent analytical, problem solving  (analyze complex data) and influential skills,
  • ability to build relationships across the organization and all geographic regions,
  • quick learner; absorbs information and concepts quickly,
  • CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager)/APICS (Association for Production and Inventory Control) desirable.
