job description

This role is a member of the Bank Technology Infrastructure Network and Voice Services Voice Engineering team, which is responsible for owning and maintaining Contact Center Telephony, Enterprise Telephony, Trader Telephony, Voice Recording Surveillance and Global Dial Plan product sets required by the Regional Engineering teams to design and implement voice solutions globally.

Specifically the Voice Engineering team focuses on solution architecture, strategy, certification and design and consists of 40 experienced voice engineers.

Reporting to the Voice Infrastructure Services team, this position is for an analyst supporting Vulnerability Threat Management (VTM) associated with the highlighted Voice portfolio. The voice engineering team are responsible for addressing solution requirements associated with VTMs that are identified against their products. The volume of Voice VTMs is large and the engineers require support to oversee effective management of the process, tracking, reporting etc.

your tasks

  • Continuously collect, review and track status centrally for all incoming vulnerabilities fed into the management system or published online
  • Support Operating System and 3rd-party/open source middleware component patching activities in the Engineering development environments
  • Regularly scrub the various reports and report data quality issues found
  • Actively engage with other technology domains including Security, Systems and other disciplines to consolidate potential differences in assignment, tracking and management of tickets
  • Publish and maintain documentation of the workflow for the engineers responsible for analysing impact of the vulnerabilities
  • Own and maintain the life cycle of the vulnerabilities in this domain
  • Develop scripts increasing efficiency and data quality of the administration of the vulnerabilities
  • Complete additionally any other tasks in connection with the role but not detailed in the current job description, charged by the direct manager, supervisor, or the functional head.

  • Software development skillset
  • Expert level understanding and hands-on experience with Python or alternative programming language(s)
  • Experience in developing scripts for automating tasks
  • Experience with Web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON
  • Working knowledge of Application Programming Interface (API) testing
  • Working knowledge of Linux or Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and Relational Database Management Systems, such as Oracle Database
  • Working knowledge of Ansible, experience with Playbook development is a plus
  • Experience with browser automation (Selenium, Puppeteer) is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Google) is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills (Formulas, Functions, Pivot Tables)
  • Experience with Visual Basic is a plus
  • Understanding key information security concepts is a plus
