- Architect and develop scalable data pipelines and processing platforms
- Oversee and contribute to the implementation of Spark/Scala-based applications
- Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage workflows (Airflow, Databricks, Hive, Cloudera)
- Build and maintain data lake solutions for structured and unstructured datasets
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, mentoring, and best development practices
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and code quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams (business, data, technology)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements
- Apply modern AI tools and automation techniques to increase development efficiency
- 7+ years of experience in Big Data engineering or backend data systems
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Scala/Spark
- Proven background in data architecture, modeling, and integration
- Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies (Airflow, Hive, Cloudera, Databricks)
- Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Strong communication and leadership skills — at least 2 years of experience leading teams
- Proficiency in English (C1 level)
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with Control-M, GitHub Actions, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- Understanding of cybersecurity, code quality, and SDLC tools (Sonar, Fortify)
- Knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, or frontend/backend frameworks (React, Node.js, Next.js)
- Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
- Proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership
