We are supporting our client - GAP İnşaat - one of the leading general contractors - in recruiting for the position of chief accountant to join a nationally strategic project: the construction of the FSRU terminal, one of the key energy investments in the region, to be built in Gdańsk.

- act as the designated accountant for the Joint Venture (JV), overseeing all financial operations and compliance matters
- ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping in accordance with Polish accounting standards and JV contractual requirements
- coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the JV, including cost tracking and cash flow analysis
- manage all tax, payroll, and statutory obligations in collaboration with local authorities and external auditors
- support budget planning and financial forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with the EPC contract framework
- implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
- liaise with GAP and partner company finance teams to ensure transparent and consolidated reporting
- provide financial data and insight to management
- ensure confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility in managing JV finances and related documentation
- bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- minimum 8 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management, including at least 3 years in a lead role
- proven experience in managing financial operations for Joint Ventures or multi-partner structures is highly desirable
- strong knowledge of Polish accounting regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements
- fluency in Polish and English (both written and spoken) is required
- knowledge of ERP software and MS Excel; experience with SAP would be an advantage
- strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility
- experience in construction, infrastructure, or EPC projects is an advantage
