We are looking for an experienced Mainframe System Automation Engineer to drive end-to-end automation solutions and high-availability operations across an enterprise-scale z/OS environment. In this role, you will bridge traditional system operations with modern automation practices, championing hands-off operations, engineering advanced REXX solutions, and maintaining resilient, self-healing mainframe platforms using tools like OPS/MVS or IBM System Automation.

What will your tasks involve?
- Automation Administration: Administer, support, and enhance enterprise Mainframe System Automation products (OPS/MVS or IBM SA / NetView)
- REXX Development: Design, code, and maintain robust REXX scripts to automate complex operational tasks and z/OS subsystem interactions
- Production Support & ITSM: Resolve production incidents, analyze root causes, and implement permanent automation fixes within agreed SLAs (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams to gather requirements and translate manual processes into automated solutions
- Operational Standards: Ensure all automation deliverables adhere to global operational standards, best practices, and high-availability guidelines
What we expect from you?
Requirements (Must-Have):
- Mainframe Automation Experience: Hands-on experience in Mainframe system automation working with Broadcom OPS/MVS or IBM System Automation / NetView
- REXX Scripting: Strong ability to write, debug, and maintain complex scripts using the REXX programming language
- Production Support & z/OS: Proven background in production support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution within enterprise IBM z/OS environments
- ITSM Processes: Solid understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
- Autonomy & Soft Skills: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, paired with excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Hands-on experience specifically with Broadcom OPS/MVS (Rules, SSM)
- Familiarity with modern collaboration and versioning tools (Jira, Confluence, Git / GitHub)
