your tasks
- Lead the execution of offshore telecommunications scope, encompassing PAGA systems, CCTV, UHF/VHF radio, data networks, satellite communications, fiber optic infrastructure, and SCADA interfaces.
- Review and formally approve installation procedures, method statements, and integration plans related to telecommunications systems.
- Supervise subcontractors and offshore installation teams, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate closely with electrical, instrumentation, IT, and marine systems disciplines to effectively manage technical interfaces.
- Oversee all phases of telecom system implementation, including pre-commissioning, functional testing, and final commissioning.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable project specifications, IEC/NEC/ISO standards, and classification society regulations.
- Monitor project milestones, manage and close punch lists, and support the preparation and verification of as-built documentation.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the project team and promptly resolve issues arising during offshore execution.
what we expect
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the installation and commissioning of telecommunications systems, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in offshore projects.
- Solid understanding of offshore telecommunications systems, structured cabling, and multi-system integration.
- Familiarity with relevant international standards and codes, such as IEC, ITU, IMO, DNV, and ABS, as well as hazardous area compliance requirements (e.g., ATEX/IECEx).
- Proven experience collaborating with EPC contractors, offshore installation vessels, and telecommunications system vendors.
- Valid building license in the field of telecommunications works.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with strong coordination and effective communication skills.
