As a Field Service Engineer, you will bridge the gap between high-level technical expertise and strategic customer relationship management. You will be the face of the global leader, ensuring the reliability of critical aeronautical equipment while actively developing the after-sales business.
- Technical Operations: Perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and load-testing on mechanical and hydraulic aeronautical tooling (lifting equipment, GSE)
- Problem Solving: Autonomously establish repair solutions and identify root causes of malfunctions when standard procedures are insufficient
- Customer Management: Act as the main focal point for clients (Airlines, MROs), ensuring clear communication and long-term trust
- Business Development: Prepare service quotations, analyze customer needs, participate in tenders, and identify new business opportunities
- Coordination: Support and organize the activities of Service Technicians and Purchasers within your perimeter
- Compliance: Conduct quality control checks before shipment and maintain rigorous workshop documentation via ERP
what we expect
- Education: Technical degree or diploma in mechanics (automotive, industrial, heavy machinery, or equivalent)
- Experience: Proven background (from around 5 years onwards) in mechanical repair and maintenance (mechanical systems 60-70%, hydraulics 20-30%, pneumatics 10% of work)
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation; manual dexterity and precision
- Soft Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive problem-solving, and excellent negotiation skills
- Languages: Proficient English (reading and writing) is mandatory for international collaboration
- Mobility: Readiness for on-site interventions at customer locations
