We are looking for revenue recognition subject matter expert (RTR) to join a dynamic finance development team of our client - one of Europe’s cleanest energy producers.
In this role, you will lead the enhancement and implementation of project accounting and revenue recognition processes, playing a central role in a major ERP renewal project during the coming years. Your deep expertise in revenue recognition principles and project accounting will ensure accurate and compliant treatment of contract revenues across multiple business units. - implementing best practices to ensure accurate project setup, budget tracking, cost allocations, and profit recognition aligned with accounting standards and business needs
- ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and company policies, proactively addressing risks and non-compliance
- collaborating with business and finance stakeholders to ensure process adoption and alignment with required standards
- maintaining data quality, operational transparency, and continuous process improvement
- managing communication and collaboration across IT, Finance, and other cross-functional teams
- providing support with process explanations and training where needed
- identifying requirements and gaps, and leading effective change management initiatives
- degree in accounting, finance, technology, or equivalent competencies
- minimum 5 years of experience in consulting, accounting, or process development
- fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus)
- deep understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and consistency, IFRS knowledge is needed
- technical proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics) as well as MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint)
- proven track record in revenue recognition and project accounting processes, preferably within a large-scale global organization
- excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders
- continuous improvement mindset where you seek best practices
- ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- capabilities to work independently and in a matrix organization
- experience in ERP implementation or finance transformation projects is an advantage
